About Casita Ceramica
What started as a way to fill my schedule during my final year of college quickly became something much more meaningful. I first found ceramics as a way to connect with my stepmom and try something new, but somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the process and discovered a passion of my own. Six years later, ceramics has become so much more than a hobby. I especially love wheel throwing and the feeling of taking a simple lump of clay and watching it transform in my hands. I’ve been incredibly lucky to practice ceramics in different parts of the world, including Spain and Japan. These experiences have challenged me, inspired me, and helped me grow as a ceramics artist.
My process is driven by spontaneity. I try not to plan my pieces too deeply because I’ve found that the days I go into the studio witha rigid idea are often my hardest. Indeed, I like to let the clay, the moment, and my instincts guide me. I’m drawn to texture, movement, and color, creating pieces that catch your eye and invite you to look a little closer.
Today, ceramics is my way of slowing down, de-stressing, recentering myself, and expressing myself artistically. Every piece carries a little bit of that journey, and I’m excited to share a piece of myself with you.
